Beginning

I’ve got to start somewhere. Start, you say, what do you mean by start when you are 65 years old? To which I’ll answer: Anyone who wants to create something, or even just to document something – a life for instance, or one’s thoughts at a certain point on a certain day – has to begin as if there was nothing that has come before. And towards what end? There might be no end, at least not one that you will determine. But you will be in a different place when you stop writing.

 So, this is my beginning, at 12:55pm on February, 18, 2022.
